Breanna Winkelman

I graduated from Western Illinois University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood education with an approval to teach Pre-K special education. During the 2014-2015 school year, I completed my English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement through the University of St. Francis. This is my 11th year teaching. I taught Pre-K from 2009-2011. I then taught Kindergarten during the 2011-2012 school year. After teaching Kindergarten for one year, I returned to teaching Pre-K. I attended Trinity Lutheran School as a child. My husband and I are church members here at Trinity.

Joyce Mann


Hello! My name is Joyce Wells Mann. This is my second year teaching Kindergarten at Trinity. I grew up in Scott County and currently live in Franklin. My husband, Joe, and I have been married for almost two years. He is a Family Development Pastor in Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville. I received my Bachelors degree from MacMurray College and my Masters degrees from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Prior to coming to Trinity I worked for the Early Years Program through District #117. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my nieces and nephews, reading and working at Lake Springfield Baptist Camp. I look forward to this new school year at Trinity.

I was born and raised in Beardstown, IL. I attended Illinois State University after high school and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught 1st and 2nd grade at Virginia Elementary School for 5 years. I enjoy all things outdoors and especially love to go hiking and camping with my daughters, Anala and Gabby, and my husband, Travis. My favorite pastime is reading and it’s also my favorite subject to teach!

I was raised in the small town of Bluffs, Il. with my 3 siblings, My mother was a loving stay at home parent and my father, a lineman for Illinois Rural Electric.  As a child, I enjoyed singing in church and often played "mother hen" to my younger brother.  I graduated from John Wood community college in 2010 and shortly after, I married my high school sweetheart, Brian.  We welcomed our first child in November of 2012 and 2 more children Henry and Olivia in the years to follow.  However, I never stopped pursuing education in early childhood.  I started a daycare in 2011 aqnd have enjoyed serving local families for 10 years.  Through daycare, I had the opportunity to take years of trainings and courses in early childhood development.  My passions are music and teaching children and I am looking forward to both as I serve the children at Trinity!

This is my third year at Trinity, Arenzville, second year teaching 5th & 6th grades.  I have taught 1st and 2nd.   I received my bachelor’s in education from Benedictine University in Springfield, Illinois in 2009.  Since receiving my degree, I have worked at many public and private schools subbing doing a couple of long-term maternity leaves for Trinity in Springfield and Concordia in Springfield.   I am currently a member at Zion Lutheran in Pleasant Plains with my husband of 16 years.  I am a district Vice President for the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Central Illinois District.  I have also been on a national committee for LWML on the Information Technology Committee.
